I have seen a few advertisements for shampoos, soaps or beauty creams featuring Thai models (at least in my opinion they look like they are from Thailand). However, I wasn't able to pinpoint if the Thai models were celebrities in Thailand ... just couldn't match what I have in my, admittedly, not too up-to-date nor complete memory bank of Thai celebrities.
However, the recently introduced Sunsilk Shampoo advertisement now making its rounds on Malaysian TV screens was a pleasant surprise. Finally someone Thai I can recognize. She's none other than the beautiful and sexy Patcharapa Chaichuea, nicknamed 'Aum'. Born on 5th December 1978, Aum is a very popular actress and model in Thailand, featuring in Thai TV dramas since 1997 and has appeared in countless Thai fashion & ladies magazines.
The guys may take note that she has been voted FHM (Thailand Edition) Most
Sexiest Woman for 3 consecutive years: 2003, 2004 & 2005.....
By the way, take a look at the fine print on your shampoo and beauty cream bottles. If they were made in Thailand, chances are they came from either:
a) Colgate-Palmolive (contract manufacturer S&J International Enterprises Public Company Limited), 600/4 Moo 11, Sukaphiban 8 Road, Nongkharm, Sriracha, Chonburi
b) Unilever Thai Holdings Limited, 63 Mu 4, Lardkrabang Industrial Estate, Chalongkrung Rd., Bangkok
c) Procter & Gamble Manufacturing (Thailand) Ltd, 112 Moo 5, Wellgrow Industrial Estate, Bangna-Trad Rd., Bang Samak, Bang Pakong, Chachoengsao
d) Johnson & Johnson (Thailand) Limited, 106 Moo 4, Latkrabang Industrial Estate, Bangkok
